First things first. If I am going to start a portfolio, I am going to need my own logo. I remembered when I started my first blog Pegotetes about parenting and Education. I got inspired by one of my daughter’s drawings. This time I had to do it by myself and the first thing I did was to check some of the portfolios for current Instructional Designers out there. I have to learn from the bests!
Since I am starting in this journey, transitioning careers outside of the classroom, my identity at this moment is my name, that is my brand, so I used my initials, my full name and then a simple circle joining all the elements. Quite simple, right?
I tried different colors, fonts, designs and after one hour (Did I tell you that I am quite perfectionist?) I had my own logo. I am using it as my brand in this portfolio and I am planning to incorporate it to my updated resume and cover letter.
For the design, I used Canva since I have experience using it for banners, posts and logos in my personal blog Pegotetes.
