This week I explored the digital audio as a powerful feature to include in the learning experiences that I design.
Las week, I included some audio clips in the Articulate Storyline course, however, I forgot important requirements in order to be successful:
- Closed captions available for the audio clips.
- Quality of the recording audio using a microphone.
- Interactivity of the learner to decide when he wants to listen to the audio.
This week, I designed a mini lesson in Articulate Storyline as and ending to Module 3, Peer Evaluation technique that I developed last week. Since this course is about how to be successful as a teacher implementing different techniques of instruction in Small Groups, I thought that finalizing with a real testimony of a teacher that already went through this process will have a big impact for the audience of teachers with no experience in this techniques.
The objective of this lesson is to listen to an experienced teacher applying the Peer-Evaluation technique with success and annotate possible challenges and tips from her experience that could be used in the learner’s own practice.
I organized the lesson in 4 questions and include 4 interactive clips with the answers of a teacher. In addition, I used a microphone to improve the quality of the sound. I used the Blue Yeti X Professional USB Microphone by Logitech.
